  2. 1. Training Managers to Behave
    2. Investment firm T. Rowe Price calculates that the oldest boomers will have to delay retirement by nearly nine years in order to recover what they lost in the market.
    3. I feel as if its true the older workers are crowding the younger generations work. They should've planned better for their future. They are making it very difficult for the younger generations to find jobs and share their knowledge for improvement.
    4. As a younger generation worker I think I will be impacted because with the recession going on it's already tough to get a decent paying job but now after reading about the older generation holding on to our jobs just because they did not plan ahead makes me angry and disappointed.

  3. I read the article titled "We're Getting Off the Ladder". The most surprising thing bout the article was the willingness of supervisors to adapt to a new work environment. The article illustrated how traditional blue collar jobs that are located in offices, where employees usually work from a cubicle is coming to a change. Not only do the employees are willing to be more flexible in their hours and work environment, but employers are willing as well.Employers are granting more and more flexible hours and allowing employees to telecommute and even work from home.I was surprised when i read this because I expected this eager for change to be coming from the employees only, not the employers as well.

I do agree with the overall text of the article. Allowing employees to become more flexible with their work hours and change work environments every now and again, is a way to keep employees satisfied. Also allowing them to work themselves towards success in a company and allowing them to control their stature in a company is more liberating. I feel like this development will inspire and in fact influence the employment longevity in a very positive way.

I believe their is a high chance for boomers to be impacted from this new work environment change. College students that are just entering the work force, are entering a new millennium of for what is considered full time employment. I believe we will be allowed more freelance opportunities, and may be able to work several positions for different companies. We won't be tied down working for only one company Monday through Friday 9-5pm. I think since we will me the new employees we will experience more of the modernization of the workforce.
